Desperation causes Billy to open up his loft, and then he finds that he needs to keep Rod at the door. Damon is offered a job, but can he keep a straight face?

Billy is furious when the neighbours keep driving over his garden to avoid the hole in the road, and he confronts Pat.

Vicki tells Terry that she is going to leave. The hole in the road claims another victim.

Mona is concerned that Annabelle and Paul will put her in a home. Terry quickly regrets not listening to Vicki's advice. Jonathan and Laura discover a hole in the road - but not until their car falls into it.

Jack experiences a certain amount of pain after his hand spends too much time on Vicki's bottom. Harry finds out why his toilet is blocked - but only after he has smashed it.

A problem with the drains escalates into a full-scale alert on the Close. Mr McGrath warns Damon off Debbie, but Damon is not keen on following his advice.

Doreen's money worries start to affect her work. Paul and Annabelle discover what Mona is doing with her food and why.

Mona is becoming more and more paranoid about Paul. Laura is becoming disenchanted with the wedding arrangements. Vicky makes a decision that pleases Terry, and at the Grants', Father Gibbons finds he has to take a deckchair instead of a pew.

Rod's talk about his police work makes Billy feel uneasy. Pat and Terry finally realise that Harry is serious about selling their house when they find him showing an estate agent around it.

Alun and Isobel are still getting on very well, and ask Michael for a blessing, but he doesn't want to. Jockie is recovering after his operation. Gary and Sarah are fighting. Susan tells Isobel about what happened, and she tells Alun to get out.

Susan and Michael are bickering because of the situation, as he suspects Susan still has feelings for him. Mairi hints to Davie that he is leading Morag on. Sarah is getting on well working at the Big House in Sheilas absence.

Senga tells Chick she refuses to leave the cottage, but Chick is worried what Douglas will say. Alun is worried about the fact that Susan and Michael are visiting, and they are shocked to see him when they arrive.

Isabel and Alun share the same bed for the first time since everything happened, and they seem to have reconciled. It is the day of Jockie's operation, and he is scared. Senga seems to be the dominant one in the relationship with Chick.

Eddie is worried about Carol after he shouted at her, since she hasn't been out of the house. It turns out the woman looking for Chick is his wife, and she arrives with his daughter and grandchild.

Jockie receives a letter confirming his appointment for his operation on his nose, but he is nervous. Eddie and Dominic are getting on much better. A woman arrives in Glendarroch looking for Chick. Mairi is helping Morag on her croft.

Alun returns to Glendarroch catching everyone by surprise, and wants to get back together with Isobel. Effie and Jockie are furious with Davie for trying to get the cottage off Gary and Sarah, so plan to sabotage his plans.

Gary and Sarah have fixed up the house a lot since the started staying there, but Davie asks Peter for it. Carol helps Dominic by talking to him, and invites him to a church meeting, but Eddie seems uncomfortable by it. Tiffany has returned.

Chick is helping by Douglas by showing people the cottage to prospective buyers, but he is secretly putting them off by saying bad things. Mairi continues to be nasty about Stella, but seems scared to lose Isobel as a friend.
