Working for the Hong family, Van finds himself the object of Mrs. Hong's affections; Pascalle suffers through the indignity of working for a living; Cheryl sticks up for her fellow check-out chicks and learns that being on the right side of the law doesn't necessarily mean being honest.

2. The Rub

Cheryl receives some unwanted attention from two of Wolf's best mates; Jethro's supposed Maoritanga comes under fire when a lawyerly 'colleague' starts to question the West family whakapapa; and Pascalle has a new line of work.

3. A Little More Than Kin

A young guy runs from the police. He hides in a wheelie bin. Bad move, as the rubbish truck comes along, picks up the bin and tosses it into the back. Thus ends the short, tragic like of Billy (The Kid) Grady West.

4. The Cause Of This Defect

Cheryl has sunk to an all time low. A 'career' in junk mail delivery finally breaks her spirit. Even her offspring are worried about her so, spurred on by Jethro's example of how to be a loving son, they each resolve to do their bit to help out.

5. The Infants Of Spring

Lonely and confused, Grandpa wanders into a yoga class; hugs the unsuspecting teacher lady and calls her 'Rita', as he lowers her to the floor. Grandpa is not in a good headspace these days.

6. But Never Doubt I Love

Grandpa announces that he and Margaret are moving away together - but not before one last job. Jethro and Caroline decide to 'out' themselves as a couple. When blackmail fails, Loretta faces the horror of school.

7. Foul Deeds Will Rise

It's Cheryl birthday! She unwraps her birthday present from Van, Pascalle and Loretta. It is a large, ornate, extremely ugly, cuckoo clock. Van, it transpires, was very stoned when the belated call came through to get Mum a birthday present.

8. My Dearest Foe

Van is increasingly disgruntled with his job as lap-dog for the unholy alliance of Suzy and Tracy Hong. He threatens to quit. Mr. Hong, however, stops him by offering him a much more important position within the Hong family organization. This new 'opportunity' turns out to be as manager of a bargain basement shop called the Lucky Dollar Store.

9. When The Blood Burns

After a series of crap modeling jobs, reaching their nadir as eye candy at a comic book convention, Pascalle scores a highly paid one-night job as a mermaid, sitting atop a food table at a rich man's charity night out. There she meets television celebrity, Grant Wilkes.

10. The Fat Weed That Roots Itself

Van and Draska are officially a couple: Draska has taken the opportunity to move into the West house and Van gets a blow job every morning so he's not complaining. But Van is not entirely a happy boy. For starters, some unknown thugs smash up his car for reasons he cannot understand. 

11. It Cannot Come To Good

Someone is paying Corky to go ahead with Wolf's appeal - but Cheryl has no idea who the mysterious benefactor is. For her, the pending appeal raises the specter of Wolf getting out of prison - just as she has embarked on an affair with DS Judd.

12. To Be Honest As This World Goes

Van and Draska, having brought shame upon the Doslic clan, are kicked out of the Doslic family home. They end up hiding in a rundown apartment, on the run from the law and shunned by all who are related to them. Despite this, Draska is still determined to carry on with the wedding. Enlisting Pascalle as her trusted (and sworn to secrecy) bridesmaid, she moves towards her prize.
