What information we collect, use, and why: We collect or use the following information for email direct marketing purposes only:

Email address, marketing preference, and records of consent - to send you emails.

Statistical information – to record how many emails we’ve sent to you and your engagement with them (e.g. click through).
Lawful bases and data protection rights: Under UK data protection law, we must have a “lawful basis” for collecting and using your personal information. The lawful basis may affect your data protection rights which are set out in brief below.
Our lawful basis for collecting or using personal information for the above marketing purposes is consent - we will only send you marketing emails where you have given us consent to do so. Please note that you may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting our viewer enquiries team at enquiries@stv.tv. or via the unsubscribe link at the foot of any email.

Where we get personal information from: We collect information directly from you.
How long we keep information: We will retain your information for the duration of the 2026 World Cup and will delete it securely within two weeks of the final game. We will delete it earlier if you ask us to do so.
