Leo Macdonald is having a bad day but things start to look up when he meets an attractive older woman, Judy. Leo's mother, Pam, is furious when she learns that her boy is going out with someone "nearly my age" but Leo doesn't care. He knows that he's just met someone very special.

When Leo meets an attractive older woman, Judy, he thinks he's found ''The One''.

Leo and Judy are looking forward to a low key Sunday lunch at the pub. Their plans are thwarted though when their families pitch up, plus an old friend of Judy's from college, who hasn't seen her since she transitioned. Judy thinks she should come clean with Leo's family about her history but Leo's not convinced that this is a wise move. As Jackie says "it could all go seriously Jeremy Kyle".

Episode 2

Leo and Judy enjoy visiting an art gallery and a bowling alley and along the way Leo learns quite a bit more about the whole transgender experience. Meantime, Peggy and Jackie pay Pam a visit at the hair salon and decide to make a day of it.

Episode 3

Leo and Judy plan to spend their first night together as, for once, there's an opportunity for them to have some privacy. However, the best laid plans...Meantime, James puts his talent for mimicry to good use.

Episode 4

While Leo tries to make a go of it as a car salesman, James does some snooping and makes some surprising discoveries. Meantime, Pam returns home to find that ''invalid'' Tony has got himself a very hands-on new Nurse!

It's Judy's 40th Birthday and she's looking forward to her (not very) Surprise Party which is to be held at the Macdonalds' house. Pam's unhappy about the disruption but that's nothing compared to how she feels when Leo shares some surprising news about his girlfriend.
