It is 40 years since the infamous Ugandan dictator Idi Amin ordered the expulsion of tens of thousands of Asians, forcing them to abandon everything and flee for their lives. Many came to the UK, where in spite of a less than enthusiastic welcome they made a success of their lives, creating wealth and employment.
