Cameras return to London Zoo for a second series, exploring the changing role of zoos in the 21st century. Love is in the air in this episode as the keepers play matchmakers. This is not always easy as they face dilemmas over the rights and wrongs of hand-rearing or allowing nature to take its course. At the newest exhibit, Penguin Beach, head bird keeper Adrian is under pressure to deliver a healthy batch of new-born penguin chicks. Head reptile keeper Ian is attempting to raise awareness of a devastating frog plague and save one species from extinction. There are challenges too for the vets who have to look after animals that often live far longer in captivity than they would in the wild
