The UK's biggest entertainment show reaches the first exciting live show tonight. Dermot O'Leary introduces the hopeful acts performing live for the first time in the X Factor studio. In a first for the series, the competing groups and singers have the option of performing their own songs and playing guitar. Which of the acts will stand out from the crowd, proving to the judging panel - and the nation - that they deserve their place in the competition? As ever, judges Gary Barlow, Tulisa, Louis Walsh and Nicole Scherzinger will be offering their own personal critique of each act's performance, but ultimately who stays and who goes is up to the voting public
