Alan Titchmarsh presents a documentary following Prince Charles and his team as they try to save Dumfries House, one of Scotland's most important stately homes. In 2007 Prince Charles used 20 million pounds of his own Foundation's money and personally brokered a 45-million-pound deal to secure not only the house but also the collection of Chippendale furniture within. The idea was to create a sustainable business which would help regenerate the local area of East Ayrshire. The programme follows the team as they try to come up with a masterplan to pay back the loan on this ambitious project, and oversee the work taking place on the derelict buildings and overgrown grounds
