Film reveals how the nation celebrated the coronation in 1953 with street parties and village fetes, and Lady Jane Rayne, who was one of the Queen's maids of honour on 2nd June 1953, recalls her memories of the event in Westminster Abbey. Pat Moloney, who was a 12-year-old schoolgirl in 1977, remembers meeting the Queen in Bootle on the occasion of her Silver Jubilee. Royal memorabilia collector Anita Atkinson describes filming the Queen's visit to Durham as part of her tour that year and, in the North Yorkshire village of Fearby, locals gather for an emotional screening of footage of the celebrations they held 35 years ago.
