In other news; Relatives of a man killed in a car crash on New Year's Day have appealed to the driver to "do the right thing" and hand himself in. Thirty-four year old Stefan Sakatiuk from Fauldhouse in West Lothian, was a passenger in the vehicle which left the road and hit a tree just outside his home town. By the time the emergency services arrived, the driver had disappeared. Meanwhile; Weather experts are warning days of flash flooding and storms are on the rise. The National Climate Information centre says the country can expect more "extreme rain" as a result of global warming.
