Craig Levein is no longer manager of Scotland's national football team - paying the price for Scotland's disastrous start to their World Cup qualifying campaign. Following extensive discussion between the SFA board, the decision was finally taken to remove Levein from the post. In other news; A serving Strathclyde Policeman has shot and killed himself in a Glasgow police station. The firearms unit officer shot himself inside the Baird Street office in the city. A report is being sent to the Procurator Fiscal and detectives from Lothian and Borders Police have been called in to investigate. Meanwhile; The parents of a Scot killed in a New Zealand mine disaster have been expressing their shock and anger at the conclusions of an investigation which says the tragedy could have been prevented. A damning Royal Commission report found that the company which operated the Pike River Mine ignored explosive levels of gas days before the tragedy. The family of Malcolm Campbell from Fife have accused them of incompetence. Last season's Scottish cup finalists Hibs and Hearts have been paired against each other in the fourth round of this season's competition. The match will take place at Easter Road. In the other ties, Rangers are at home to Elgin City, Motherwell travel to Aberdeen, while Kilmarnock entertain Queen of the South. Celtic are at home to Inverurie Locos or Arbroath, St Mirren welcome Brechin City or Bonnyrigg Rose and Ross County against Inverness is another big derby game.
