Nine people have been injured following a serious road crash in Stirling. It happened on the busy A872 Glasgow Road which has been closed in both directions. It's understood an HGV collided with a van. In other news; hospital staff need to be better trained to spot dementia, according to experts who estimate that almost half of elderly people on Scotland's wards have the condition but have not been diagnosed. It’s believed at any one time the symptoms of 1600 patients go unrecognised. Doctors called for more training to cope with the evolving 'dementia epidemic'. And in sport; Scotland manager Craig Levein insists he's a better manager now than he was when he took over the national team nearly three years ago. Scotland will be led out at Hampden by Gary Caldwell, who will win his 50th cap against Serbia tomorrow. But Levein says nobody wants the nation to qualify for Brazil 2014 more than he does.
