A member of a Westminster committee which has been investigating press standards in Britain says the Sun newspaper was right to publish pictures of a naked Prince Harry. Glasgow Labour MP Jim Sheridan said he hoped the prince would learn lessons from the affair. It comes as Rupert Murdoch's daughter told an Edinburgh audience what she thought of the Sun's decision to print. The paper ran the images after they were viewed by millions of people online. Olympic gold medallist Heather Stanning has arrived back home in Moray, to a heroes welcome. Hundreds turned out as the winner of Team GB's first gold medal was driven through the streets of Elgin in an open top jeep. In other news, a jury has been told there is 'no way' the driver of the car which ran over a Lanarkshire pensioner would not have known he'd passed over his body. 76 year old James Simpson was killed while trying to stop his car being stolen from his home in Ashgill near Larkhall last November. And in sport, Neil Lennon won't have major money to spend in the transfer window - even if Celtic reach the group stages of the Champions League. The Parkhead boss says he'll spend wisely before the transfer window closes on Friday, if he has any money to spend at all. Lennon has been dealt a blow with Beram Kayal and Joe Ledley ruled out for much of September. This international version of STV News at Six is viewable world-wide. It has been edited for rights reasons, which also allows us to keep the programme online after the initial 24-hour broadcast window in the UK has passed. Viewers within the UK who want to watch the full episode 'as broadcast' should select the UK version of the programme.
