The Duke of Edinburgh has been taken to hospital. Buckingham Palace confirmed Prince Philip had been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary this afternoon. He had been staying at the Royal family's Scottish retreat, Balmoral, with the Queen. Prince Philip's latest visit to hospital comes after illness during the recent Diamond Jubilee celebrations and a heart scare over Christmas. This is now his third visit to hospital within a year. Rachel Stewart reports on the Duke of Edinburgh's recent health concerns. In other news; the homecoming parade for Scotland's Olympians and Paralypians is to be staged in Glasgow. It's set to take place in the city next month. Officials say Glasgow is the obvious choice as it will be hosting the Commonwealth Games in 2014. And; Virgin Rail has lost out in its bid to retain the West Coast Mainline service. Rivals First Group will start running Britain's busiest train line from December. The Aberdeen-based company has pledged new high-speed trains on the Birmingham to Glasgow route and more direct services between destinations. Experts say it’s a high risk decision by the Westminster Government. Also in sport; Rangers are embroiled in a fresh dispute over a debt owed from the Ibrox club to Dundee United. Rangers insists they have a written agreement that the 31,000 pounds would be paid by the league from funds withheld from them last season. STV News understands the SPL disagree and have now taken up the SFA. This international version of STV News at Six is viewable world-wide.
