Most rail fares in Scotland are to go up by more than four per-cent. The increases, which are linked to the rate of inflation plus one-per-cent, are lower than those in England. But campaigners fear it could drive people away from using the railways. In other news; The Jenny Methven murder trial has heard how the victim's son asked a detective if it was true that 95% of killings were carried out by a family member. The accused, William Kean, blames David Methven for the murder. The trial was told by Mr Kean's wife, that he had acted normally on the day the 80 year-old's body was found in her Forteviot home. And; the grandmother of a baby whose parents are accused of neglecting him wept as she told a court she would have taken him away if she had seen his living conditions. Tracy McDonald said she had no concerns about her grandson's health but admitted she had limited access. Ashley McDonald and Marc Morrison deny wilfully neglecting three month old Anton, who died in hospital in Glasgow last February. Also in other news; A Scottish mum has become the latest lottery multimillionaire after scooping the second biggest prize in the draw's history. Gillian Bayford who's originally from Kirkcaldy in Fife won £148 million pounds in Friday's euromillions draw along with her husband Aidrian. And in sport; Charles Green has accused Scottish football authorities of having an 'agenda' against the club. The Rangers Chief Executive, who already faces an SFA rap after claiming the decision to place the Ibrox side in the 3rd division was driven by bigotry, laughed off any potential fresh punishment.
