Along with partner Anna Watkins, the 36 year old was victorious in the women's double skulls. In the previous 3 games she left with silver. But today in front of an adoring home crowd, it was her golden moment. In other news; the Royal Bank of Scotland's Chief Executive has claimed it's making good progress, despite announcing pre-tax losses of one and a half billion pounds. Stephen Hestor insists the Edinburgh-based bank is "safer and stronger." But RBS is counting the cost of recent and past mistakes.
