A fake asylum seeker based in Glasgow has been convicted of financing terrorism using illegally claimed benefits. Nasserdine Menni was found guilty of giving over 5,000 pounds, to a man who later carried out a suicide bombing in Sweden. However, a jury cleared the Algerian national of conspiring with his friend, to murder Swedish citizens and returned a verdict of not proven to that charge. In other news the security issues surrounding the olympic games took another twist this afternoon, when the Chief Constable of Strathclyde Police, Stephen House announced that the force will now assume primary responsibility for the games in Scotland. In other news from tonight drinking alcohol is banned on the vast majority of train services in Scotland. And in sport, Celtic are likely to be up against Finnish opposition in their first champions league qualifier. This international version of STV News at Six is viewable world-wide.
