The Weirs donated £1 million to the party's independence campaign four days after the meeting. And; The number of children living in poverty in Scotland has decreased. Figures show that one in five youngsters are now affected by poverty, compared to one in four previously. While some progress has been made in tackling the issue, children's charities are warning that coalition austerity measures are threatening the opportunity to eradicate the problem.
