Trevor Muirhead and Neil McKenzie were found guilty of conspiracy to assault after they constructed packages marked for the Celtic Manager and two other high profile supporters of the club. In other news: Ticketus have pulled out of the Blue Knights consortium bid to take over Rangers. The investment firm say the SFA sanctions imposed on the club have added another obstacle, and they can no longer justify their involvement. The Arlene Fraser murder trial has been told her husband confessed to a friend that he murdered his wife and burned her body. The allegation came from Hector Dick, at the time one of Nat Fraser's friends. The farmer told the High Court in Edinburgh that Arlene's fate was decribed to him just days after she disappeared from her Elgin home in April 1998. Nat Fraser denies the murder. Oscar winners Nicole Kidman and Colin Firth have arrived in Edinburgh ahead of filming for their latest movie - the Railway Man. It follows a series of Hollywood productions filmed across the country in the last year. And in sports: Ally McCoist believes it could be argued it would be "morally" correct for Rangers to be forced to apply to join the Scottish Football League and play in the Third Division next season. But McCoist believes the rest of Scottish football would suffer if this was to happen. The Ibrox boss spoke on a wide range of subjects at his news conference today, which included, the SFA judicial panel, the supporters protest against the SFA and the fear of losing top players. Alan Thompson has backed referee Calum Murray ahead of Sunday's derby, saying he has a lot of respect for him. Murray sent off two Celtic players and manager Neil Lennon the last time the city rivals met. Thompson, who has labelled the match as both side's Cup Final, says Beram Kayal could find a seat on the bench alongside last weekend's teenage goal hero Tony Watt. Motherwell manager Stuart McCall has revealed that all player contract talks are on hold as the club fights for a Champions League place next season. The Fir Park side had opened talks with half a dozen first team players, but further negotiations won't take place until the end of the season. And ahead of this weekend's visit of St Johnstone, McCall says that playing attacking football will give his team the best possible chance of clinching 3rd place in the league. Rugby and Edinburgh are sticking with the same winning side for tomorrow's Heineken Cup semi final against Ulster. Boss Michael Bradley has made no change to the starting fifteen which beat Toulouse in the last round for what's being billed as the biggest game in Scottish Club Rugby history. Andy Murray has been knocked out of the Barcelona Open at the Quarter Final stage after a straight sets defeat to Canada's Milos Raonic. It is the Scot's second defeat in a week at the quarter final stage at the start of the clay court season. Next up for the British No1 is the controversial blue clay court at the Madrid Masters in May. This international version of STV News at Six is viewable world-wide.
