Lung cancer death rates for Scottish women have jumped over the last decade. While deaths among men from the disease are steadily declining, women’s rates have shot up by eleven percent. In other news: The jury in the trail of Robert Black have been told to put their emotions to one side when they decide whether he murdered a young girl in Northern Ireland 30 years ago; Murdo Fraser has told STV News he would have backed rebel demands to hold a referendum on membership of the European Union; and in sport, Celtic’s injury crisis deepened further tonight, with Mo Bangura, Glen Loovens and Mark Wilson all out, Charlie Mulgrew has also been added to the list of doubts.
