Scotland's jobless total has seen a sharp rise, but the country continues to out perform the rest of the UK. It's cold comfort, though, for the seven thousand people here who joined the dole queue over the summer. In other news; Twenty million pounds worth of compensation could be paid out to Scottish sufferers of an asbestos related condition. The Supreme Court has ruled MSPs were acting within their powers when they passed a law enabling victims of Pleural Plaques to seek damages. And in sport; SFA Chief Executive Stewart Regan says Craig Levein is absolutley the right man to take Scotland forward and insists it's ridiculous to even question his position as manager.
