The Prime Minister has said that the row over what legal advice the Scottish Government sought about independence and continued EU membership undermines Alex Salmond's case to break the Union. The First Minister continues to face charges that he lied about what advice was sought as the debate on constitutional change rages. In other news; The number of people killed on Scotland's roads fell by eleven per cent last year. New figures released by the Government show those seriously injured also dropped by five per cent. Road casualties are now at their lowest level since records began more than sixty years ago. And in sport; Hearts have been handed a 60-day registration embargo by the SPL for their failure to pay wages to players and management on time earlier this month. The Edinburgh club are unable to sign anyone until 23rd of December. This international version of STV News at Six is viewable world-wide.
