A car thief, who drove over a pensioner as he tried to stop him stealing his Land Rover, has been found guilty of murder. Christopher Grenfell had admitted killing seventy-six year-old James Simpson, but claimed it was an accident. After the verdict, the victim's son said his father's "strong sense of right and wrong" resulted in him chasing Grenfell, with terrible consequences leaving his mother a "shattered, nervous and lonely widow". Easyjet has announced it is expanding at Edinburgh Airport, creating one hundred new jobs. The budget airline is bringing in two extra planes in addition to the five that already serve the capital. Bosses at the airport say the move will offer passengers more choice. In other news, police divers have joined the search for a father missing after a canoe capsized in the Highlands. Ewen Beaton has been unaccounted for since Sunday's tragedy, which claimed the lives of his two sons and a five year old girl. And finally in sport, John McGlynn says Hearts players have the chance to write their place in the history books by beating Liverpool tonight. The sides meet at Anfield in the second leg of their Europa League qualifier with McGlynn's team trailing 1-nil. This international version of STV News at Six is viewable world-wide.
