Burntisland Fabrication will now double its workforce having secured the deal to design and build components for a new oil platform. The Prime Minister David Cameron met with workers at the factory today and pledged to support manufacturing. In other news; the wife of a man killed by a hit and run driver in Ayrshire is urging anyone who knows who's responsible to come forward. Myra Brown last spoke to her husband, Ian, on Friday as he headed for a day out with colleagues. The forty-eight year-old was knocked down and killed as he made his way home. In local news; Jewellery worth more than eight-thousand pounds has been stolen from a house in Edinburgh. Over one hundred items, along with other collectables, were taken from the property in Craighall Bank between two-thirty and four-thirty this afternoon. And; Police are appealing for witnesses after thieves who stole a car in Midlothian crashed into another car, injuring the driver. The silver Vauxhall Astra was stolen from Carlops Avenue in Penicuik on Saturday. The men - who are both in their 20s - fled the scene on foot. Also in sport; Motherwell boss Stuart McCall is demanding his men play with "no fear" when they take on Greek giants Panathinaikos in their champions league debut tonight. McCall is aware of his club's "underdog" status but he's confident they CAN cause an upset. This international version of STV News at Six is viewable world-wide.
