It's understood plans are being put in place for Charles Green's newco Rangers to drop down to Division One next season, as part of a restructuring of Scottish football. But already several First Division teams have stated their objection to allowing a newco to play in Scotland's second tier. The news comes as 13 players reported back for pre-season training. In sport: Proposals to allow Rangers to play in the First Division next season are unlikely to be approved by SFL clubs in their current form.
