Forty people are now thought to have been infected in the Legionnaires' disease outbreak in Edinburgh with the full toll not expected to peak until the weekend. Eight new cases were confirmed today - but there have been no more fatalities and the number of people who're critically ill has fallen from 15 to 12. Health Secretary Nicola Sturgeon said the search for the source of the outbreak is an "absolute priority." In other news: Two men are being questioned by detectives investigating a fire which killed a father and his two children at their home in Helensburgh; The world's biggest spirit producer is investing a billion pounds in the Scotch whisky industry over the next five years. In sport: contract talks between Paulo Sergio and the Hearts board have hit a stumbling block over the issue of wages. The club is said to be offering Sergio the same amount of money that they were paying him last season but the Portugese boss was also receiving payments from his former club Sporting Lisbon - payments which have now stopped. It's understood the two parties are struggling to agree financial terms on a new deal. This episode has been edited for rights reasons.
