Scotland's youth are unfit for work....that's the claim from one of the country's largest employers. Motoring giant Arnold Clark say eighty percent of the thousands of young people who applied to them for a job were "unsuitable for any employment". But there's been an angry reaction to the claims with politicians accusing the car company of "youth bashing" and College bosses saying it's wrong to simply dismiss a generation of young people. Research suggests children are at risk of "screen addiction" because of the time they're spending watching television or playing computers games. On average, youngsters have access to five screens in their home and spend six hours a day in front of them. Detectives investigating the rape of a teenager in the west end of Glasgow say the key to finding her attacker lies within the local community. The 19 year old was returning from a night out during the early hours of saturday morning when she was grabbed by a man just outside the perimeter of the Glasgow University campus. A woman has been convicted of killing her housemate after tying him up and stabbing him. Eliska Novotna denied murder and claimed she had acted in self-defence because Arunas Ramanauskas had tried to sexually assault her in Peebles last October. A senior detective on the Arlene Fraser murder case has told a jury that he thinks the accused's best friend had something to do with her disappearance. A ban on gathering seafood and bait from a Fife beach which has radioactive particles present has been extended. The group representing Scotland's 32 Council's has given the thumbs down to a report calling for the number of local authorities to be drastically reduced. The Scottish Government is developing an action plan to help businesses fight criminals operating online. Enterprise minister Fergus Ewing will be responsible for a group aimed at tackling cyber crime which is estimated to cost Scottish companies £5billion a year.
