In other news; Two councillors, who are not members of Labour or the SNP, will hold the balance of power in Midlothian. The main parties tied with eight councillors each, so the council's first Green party member and a newly-elected independent, will decide which policies get the go-ahead. And in sport; Hearts midfielder Ian Black has ruled himself out of a possible Scotland call up for the friendly against USA at the end of the month.
