The Falkirk MP Eric Joyce has been suspended by the Labour Party following allegations of a late-night brawl in a House of Commons bar. Mr Joyce was held overnight in a London Police station on suspicion of assault. In other news: a forensic examiner has told the Suzanne Pilley murder trial that dogs trained to find dead bodies homed in on several area in the garage of the building where she worked; RBS has announced it’s paying hundreds of millions of pounds in rewards to staff despite reporting a two billion pound loss; and in sport, Craig Beattie says he had no hesitation in signing for Hearts after being impressed immediately by Paulo Sergio.
