A man is to stand trial next year accused of murdering the missing Edinburgh book-keeper Suzanne Pilley. David Gilroy has been accused of killing the 38 year old, hiding her body in an office block then moving it to various places around Scotland. In other news: police are to begin investigations into five unsolved murders which have been identified by a new cold case unit; Jason Downie, a teenager originally from Ayrshire, has admitted murdering a family of three in Australia a year ago; and in Sport, STV News understands that Hibs interim manager Billy Brown is interested in the job full time but hasn’t yet applied for the post.
