A car crash in Perthshire last month has claimed a second victim. Eighty three year old Elizabeth Southwood from Perth died in hospital after suffering serious injuries in the accident at Tibbermore. Another passenger in the Mazda car, seventy eight year old Rhoda Lawton, was pronounced dead at the scene of the two-vehicle collision. A third passenger in the same car, an eighty two year old woman, remains in a stable condition in Dundee's Ninewells hospital. In other news: A bogus workman who stole cash and jewellery from pensioners in Dundee has been jailed for more than a year. John Reid was on licence from prison when he targeted three addresses in the city last month. He conned his way into the home of an eighty-four year old woman in the city's Old Muirton Road, and then stole two rings and her purse as she went to make him a cup of tea. The twenty nine year old carried out similar crimes against two men, aged seventy and sixty-eight. Campaigners behind the restoration of an historic Fife wall are celebrating victory in a "David and Goliath" battle. Locals in Falkland feared their heritage was at risk when the two hundred and fifty year old wall in the town's conservation area was bulldozed in 2010. Developers, Lomond Homes, argued it had to be removed from their building site for safety reasons. But a campaign by residents, supported by Historic Scotland and Fife Council, stopped the demolition. The damaged section has now been fully restored. More changes have been made to the road layout around Dundee's waterfront as the billion-pound construction project progresses. A new east-bound section opened this morning to allow work to start on approach and exit ramps at the Tay Road Bridge. The road connects South Marketgait with what will become the northern boulevard, when the re-development is completed. Dundee City Council say the street pattern around the waterfront is now taking shape in what's been a key year for the project. And in sports: Former Scotland defender Stephen Pressley has backed Craig Levein to carry on as National Team Manager even if his side loses to Wales this Friday. Defeats to the Welsh cost Scotland bosses George Burley and Bertie Vogts their jobs but the Falkirk manager says Levein is under no pressure. John Hartson says he expects Scotland to perform well in Cardiff, because they play better when they don't have the pressure of the Hampden crowd to deal with. The Former Celtic striker is now assistant manager to under-fire Chris Coleman at Wales, with key man Gareth Bale a doubt for Friday's match.
