Programme information

Show

An elderly woman has been killed in a collision with a lorry as she crossed a street in Dundee. The woman, in her 70s, was knocked down in Happyhillock Road just before mid-day. It's understood she was on her way to catch a bus. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The road was closed for several hours to allow an investigation to take place. In other news; Controversial plans to redevelop the centre of Pitlochry have been approved by Perth and Kinross Council. Campaigners opposed to the creation of a hotel and shopping complex within the town's conservation area have reacted angrily to the decision. And in sport; Ross County boss Derek Adams doesn’t think the end of their 40 match unbeaten run will have any effect on how his side plays. The Staggies tasted defeat in the league for the first time since August last year went down 2-1 to St Johnstone on Saturday courtesy of a late Frazer Wright goal. But Adams says the unbeaten run never affected their approach to matches. This international version of STV News at Six is viewable world-wide. It has been edited for rights reasons, which also allows us to keep the programme online after the initial 24-hour broadcast window in the UK has passed. Viewers within the UK who want to watch the full episode 'as broadcast' should select the UK version of the programme.
