Storm force winds and torrential rain have been battering the east coast, causing widespread damage and disruption. Flood warnings have been issued, and seventy mile an hour gales have made driving conditions treacherous, with uprooted trees closing some main roads. Scotland's prosecution service has reacted angrily after campaigners claimed the conviction of the Lockerbie bomber was Scotland's "Hillsborough." In other news, an Angus family say they're lucky to be alive following a house fire this morning. The blaze broke out at the home in Littlewood Gardens in Montrose at around half past seven. And finally in sport, Aberdeen say they've had several expressions of interest regarding possible sites for a new stadium.
