A forty foot whale has been washed up on an Angus beach. Shocked locals discovered the giant sea mammal in Arbroath this morning. It's thought to have been the same whale seen in difficulty near St Andrews earlier in the week. In other news, A teenager has appeared in court accused of killing a man in Dundee with a single punch. James Hannan is alleged to have attacked William McDonald in the city's Strathmartine Road earlier this month. The 38 year old later died in hospital. 18 year old Hannan will face trial for culpable homicide. Also, Tyre giants Michelin are continuing to monitor European markets for signs of economic recovery. Earlier this year they shut down production at their Dundee plant for three weeks because of the Eurozone crisis. Bosses say the situation remains "fluid" as they look ahead to 2013. The company is now offering members of the public a unique look inside the factory for the first time as part of a "Doors Open" initiative. And in sport; there’s SPL action at Tannadice tonight as Dundee United host Ross County. With both sides just two points behind leaders Motherwell, the winners will, albeit possibly temporarily, top the table. County are looking to extend their unbeaten league run to an incredible forty games. This international version of STV News at Six is viewable world-wide.
