Police are hunting two young men who carried out an unprovoked racist attack in Dundee city centre at the weekend. A man and his wife, of Pakistani orgin, were walking in Albert Square in the early hours of yesterday morning when the pair began shouting racially abusive comments at them. They then punched the man in the face and kicked him. They're aged between 16 and 20 years old and one was carrying a black guitar case. Officers are appealing for witnesses to contact them. In other news; a Fife mother campaigning for a fresh investigation into her son's death is meeting senior law officers to discuss the case. Colin Marr from Lochgelly died from a single stab wound five years ago following a row with his fiance at their home. His family are challenging the police conclusion it was suicide. An independent review published in July found serious failings in the initial investigation while a former senior CID officer has said it should have been treated as suspicious. And in sport; Andy Murray's bidding to win his first Grand Slam title tonight. He's up against defending champion, Novak Djokovic in the US Open final. Having lost his four previous major finals, Murray's hoping its fifth time lucky. This international version of STV News at Six is viewable world-wide. It has been edited for rights reasons, which also allows us to keep the programme online after the initial 24-hour broadcast window in the UK has passed. Viewers within the UK who want to watch the full episode 'as broadcast' should select the UK version of the programme.
