The Chief Inspector of Prisons says in his latest report that the open estate is now as safe as it's going to be. And; An army cadet instructor from Angus has been jailed for six years after he admitted sexually assaulting a young woman. Callum Stewart, who was a sergeant at the Army Cadet Force in Carnoustie, preyed on his vicitim for four years before she confided in a relative. The High Court in Glasgow heard that he first attacked the woman when she was 19 and that she once took an overdose due to the trauma of what had happened. Also in sport; there've been no more Scotland call offs ahead of Saturday's World Cup opener with Serbia.
