Olympic gold medallist Heather Stanning has arrived back home in Moray to a heroes welcome. Crowds lined the streets as the winner of Team GB's first gold medal was driven through the streets of Elgin in an open top land rover. In other news; a member of a Westminster committee which has been investigating press standards in Britain says the Sun newspaper was right to publish pictures of a naked Prince Harry. Glasgow Labour MP Jim Sheridan said he hoped the prince would learn lessons from the affair. It comes as Rupert Murdoch's daughter told an Edinburgh audience what she thought of the Sun's decision to print. In local news; a thirteen year old boy is fighting for his life after a road accident in Fife. The youngster was involved in a collision with a car near to Leuchars Railway Station last night. He was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee where his condition is described as critical. The crash involved a white Hyundai car and police are appealing for witnesses. A Bronze Age burial site has been discovered on the outskirts of Dundee. The long kist, which could be three thousand years old, was found on land to be used for a new cemetery for the city at West Pitkerro. A forensic anthropologist was called to the scene to identify human bones that were lying in the stone grave. It's believed a digger involved in making paths for the cemetery disturbed the ground. Also in sport; Peter Pawlett says he's determined to use his loan move to St Johnstone to prove to Craig Brown he deserves a place his Aberdeen team. The Dons winger is set for his Saints debut at Hibs tomorrow. This international version of STV News at Six is viewable world-wide.
