A cannabis farmer's been jailed for a year after his attempt to grow the drug started a fire in a block of flats in Perth. Derek Singer tampered with the power supply at his home, sparking a blaze which forced dozens of people to flee to safety in October last year. The 46 year old admitted endangering the lives of residents in Newhouse Road at Perth Sheriff Court.
