A former soldier who lost an eye in battle has been jailed for eight months after he stole money from a good Samaritan who took him in. Police are hunting vandals who damaged the helipad at Dundee's Ninewells Hospital. It's emerged that a second Tayside Police officer is facing an alleged assault charge. The UK government is being urged to review the correspondence sent by the Department for Work and Pensions, in light of a case involving a profoundly disabled Dundee man. And in sports: Aberdeen chairman Stewart Milne's refused to say whether the Dons would vote to allow a NEWCO Rangers into the SPL.
