Show

A woman walked a terrified four year old girl down the middle of a busy Dundee road while so drunk that she repeatedly fell over. The city's Sheriff Court heard that Marina Ivanova was intoxicated when she took the youngster down South Road after midnight in June last year. The court was shown CCTV images of the stumbling Russian national attempting to flag down a taxi and letting go of the girl's hand as she walked just inches from passing cars. The 28 year old pled guilty to being drunk in charge of a child. In other news; The Dalai Lama's historic first visit to Dundee later this year has sold out in under two hours. More than two hundred people queued from 6 o'clock this morning for tickets to see the spiritual leader of Tibet's talk at the Caird Hall. And in sport; Daniel Uchechi's admitted a glowing recommendation from former Don Sone Aluko sold him on a Pittodrie move. Uchechi was paraded today, after finalising his protracted switch to Aberdeen. This is an international version of the news that may have been edited for rights.
