Hundreds of Scottish jobs are under threat this evening after it was confirmed that electrical chain Comet will go into administration. It'll be run as a going concern while administrators examine options for sales, closures and liquidation. The company's demise represents one of the biggest failures on the high street in recent years. In other news: Scotland's main airports say unless air passenger duty is scrapped or reduced it will drive away passengers and airlines. Aberdeen, Glasgow and Edinburgh airports claim the tax could soon cost the Scottish economy more than 200 million pounds a year in lost tourism. The A9 has been closed in both directions following a three car collision. The accident happened North of Dunkeld, close to the turn off for Dalguise, shortly after four o'clock this afternoon. It's understood casualties were trapped within their vehicles. MSPs have been debating plans to cut the drink drive limit. The Scottish Government wants to reduce the amount of alcohol motorists are allowed from 80 milligrams per hundred millilitres of blood to 50 milligrams. Road safety campaigners say they back the change but are ultimately aiming for a zero limit. And in sports: The SFA board have spent the day at a secret location discussing Levein's position. With Scotland's World Cup campaign all but over after just four games a large section of the tartan army are demanding a change. It remains to be seen whether the SFA will back him, or sack him.
