A manhunt is being stepped up on both sides of the border for a dangerous criminal who remains at large after absconding from an English jail. Wanted posters are being distributed across Scotland for Lee Cyrus, who's also known as Ivan Leach. The 47 year old's been linked with brutal attacks on women in Tayside and despite hundreds of possible sightings he's yet to be traced. In other news; The wife of a missing Scottish sailor has attacked the Dubai police for their handling of his disappearance. Timmy MacColl from Killin hasn't been seen since he failed to return to his Royal Navy ship in the Emirates five months ago. Now the 27-year-old's family is making a fresh appeal for information. In local news; Workers on ferry services to the Northern Isles are to be balloted on strike action. Members of the Rail, Maritime and Transport union will vote in the coming weeks on whether to launch a campaign of industrial action which will take effect over the festive season. Also in sport; the last two League Cup semi final spots will be decided tonight. Inverness and Dundee United are hoping to grab them. The Highlanders head to Rangers, while United host Hearts.
