Prime Minister David Cameron has told his party's conference he'll campaign against Scottish independence with "everything we've got" as negotiations over a referendum enters the final stages. Mister Cameron and First Minister Alex Salmond will meet in Edinburgh on Monday to finalise arrangements for the historic referendum. If agreed, the plan is for a vote, north of the border, in the autumn of 2014. In other news: Consumers are being warned they may need to pay more for their food after one of the worst harvests in years. Farmers say the bad weather has had a severe impact on their crops with a significant reduction in grain and potato yields. Tayside Police has received an allegation of abuse against the late broadcaster Jimmy Savile. The force says a woman has reported an historical incident said to have taken place in Liverpool. Details have been passed on to the Metropolitan Police. The Met is leading an inquiry into claims Mr Saville sexually abused girls. Scotland Yard says there could be up to 30 victims of abuse by the presenter. Supporters of a former soldier jailed for the murder of a waiter on Orkney have staged a protest to claim he's innocent. Michael Ross was just 15 years old when Shamsuddin Mahmood was shot dead at an Indian restaurant in June 1994. And in sports: Former Scotland defender Stephen Pressley has backed Craig Levein to carry on as National Team Manager even if his side loses to Wales this Friday. Defeats to the Welsh cost Scotland bosses George Burley and Bertie Vogts their jobs but the Falkirk manager says Levein is under no pressure. John Hartson says he expects Scotland to perform well in Cardiff, because they play better when they don't have the pressure of the Hampden crowd to deal with. The Former Celtic striker is now assistant manager to under-fire Chris Coleman at Wales, with key man Gareth Bale a doubt for Friday's match.
