Programme information

Show

The Duke of Edinburgh is preparing to spend his second night in hospital in Aberdeen after suffering another bladder infection. It's the third time the elderly prince has fallen ill in the last nine months. In other news; the man accused of murdering a Perthshire pensioner has told the jury how he found her lying badly injured but did nothing to help. William Kean said he didn't call emergency services to Jenny Methven's house because he was scared of getting the blame. And in sport; Inverness Caledonian Thistle skipper Richie Foran says a win at Hearts this weekend would help erase the memory of their dreadful start to last season. The midfielder has been a frustrated spectator so far this campaign as he served a two match suspension, but hopes he's done enough in training to convince Terry Butcher to involve him at Tynecastle. This international version of STV News at Six is viewable world-wide. It has been edited for rights reasons, which also allows us to keep the programme online after the initial 24-hour broadcast window in the UK has passed. Viewers within the UK who want to watch the full episode 'as broadcast' should select the UK version of the programme.
