Plans to lower the drink-drive limit in Scotland have been given a cautious welcome by road safety campaigners. Justice Secretary Kenny MacAskill says the proposals will be brought forward later this year. Those fighting to reduce the level say it's a step in the right direction, but that a zero-tolerance approach remains their ultimate goal. In other news; The jury in the Arlene Fraser murder trial has heard a key witness described as a "habitual and accomplished liar". The claim came as defence lawyer John Scott gave his closing speech on behalf of Arlene's husband Nat, who denies being responsible for her killing. Much of the speech focused on the evidence of Nat's former friend Hector Dick. And in sport; Scotland Under 21s manager Billy Stark's described the Senior side's weekend THRASHING to the USA as 'a blip' He says the FIVE ONE thumping will have no bearing on their forthcoming world cup campaign.
