The battle for Scottish independence was launched today, with organisers of the "Yes Scotland" movement vowing to stage a huge community-based campaign in the run up to the referendum planned for the Autumn of 2014. First Minister Alex Salmond said he wanted "a Scotland that's greener, that's fairer and more prosperous." The anti Independence parties will launch their campaign in the coming weeks - bringing together politicians on the opposite side of the last constitutional referendum debate fifteen years ago. The Arlene Fraser murder trial has been told she was killed because she was trying to leave her "possessive and controlling" husband. Jurors have been listening to the Crown's closing speech at the High Court in Edinburgh. A verdict in the case is likely next week. This episode has been edited for rights reasons.
