A murder hunt is underway in Dundee after a sixty three year old man is found stabbed to death in his home. Detectives say the man, who's been named locally as John Kennedy, suffered a sustained and brutal attack at an address in the city's Mossgiel Crescent. In other news: The jury in the Arlene fraser murder trial has heard how estranged husband Nat had hoped for a reconciliation just days before her disappearance. Tributes are being paid to a Scottish aid worker who was murdered in Pakistan. Khalil Dale from Dumfries was kidnapped in the city of Quetta in January. His body was found dumped in an orchard at the weekend. The 60 year old, who was known as Ken until he became a Muslim, had been working in the volatile region with the Red Cross. Scotland International footballer David Goodwillie has been given a community service order for assaulting a man. The Blackburn striker will also be supervised for one year after admitting the attack on John Friel in Glasgow on November the 3rd. The Clydesdale and Yorkshire banks are to cut more than fourteen hundred jobs in the UK. Owner, the National Australia Bank, confirmed the jobs would go by 2015, following a strategic review. It's believed that only 60 posts will be lost in Scotland as the bank focuses on its operations here and in the North of England. Some of Edinburgh's iconic police boxes are being put up for sale. There's no set price for the 22 cast iron structures which have been deemed "surplus to operational requirements". However, buyers will either have to move the boxes or obtain planning permission to keep them where they are. The Arnish Fabrication Yard on Lewis has shed half of its workforce due to a lack of orders. 40 sub-contracted staff have been laid off, with components for a wind farm project in Germany due to be shipped out this week. An Aberdeen mother is appealing to the Scottish Government to provide better support for children with heart problems. Six year old Rebecca Gibson was born with a rare heart defect at birth and had to have major surgery in America. Three men have been caught working illegally following raids in an Aberdeen restaurant and spice shop. Scotland's oil and gas exports rose by four and a half per cent between 2010 and last year, according to the latest figures. And in sports: Ross County chairman Roy MacGregor says he's confident they can establish themselves in the SPL. After Saturday's first division title party, County's attention's now turning to getting everything ready for the step up. This international version of STV News at Six is viewable world-wide.
