It's the CITY of Perth. 'The Fair City' was one of 25 towns across the UK bidding for the status as part of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations. The widely anticipated announcement that Perth had been chosen makes the town Scotland's seventh city. Civic leaders say it heralds the start of a year of celebrations.
