Scotland's First Minister takes his battle to secure an independence referendum to the heart of the United Kingdom tonight. In just over an hour he will deliver a lecture to a specially invited audience. He's the eighth politician to be invited to speak in memory of the late Guardian columnist Hugo Young. The last was the current Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg. In other news; Fears are growing for a hill walker who's been missing in the Cairngorms for several days. And in sport; Ross Ford will captain Scotland for the Six Nations with Kelly Brown having been ruled out of the Championship through injury. Meanwhile, Steve Shingler met up with the squad at their St Andrews training base this week despite a question mark still hanging over his eligibility to play for Scotland. This is an international version of the news that may have been edited for rights reasons.
