More than a third of children are living in severe poverty in parts of Aberdeen and Dundee. Seven communities across the two cities have appeared on a new map highlighting Scotland's poverty hotspots. Figures reveal young people in almost every part of the country are seeing their future life chances harmed - a situation branded shameful by campaigners. In other news; Two men have appeared in court accused of murdering a man in broad daylight at the side of one of Dundee's busiest roads. Alexander McLennan died on Saturday following the alleged attack beside the city's Kingsway East. Today 29 year old Ross Ramsay and John Paul Cassidy, aged 31, appeared in private at Dundee Sheriff Court. Both faced a single charge of murdering Mr McLennan. Meanwhile, police have confirmed that a third man wanted in connection with the alleged murder has been detained. And in sport; Dundee United made a loss of over half a million pounds in the last financial year. But Tannadice Chairman Stephen Thompson says the sales of David Goodwillie to Blackburn and Scott Allan to West Brom mean the club's bank loan has been significantly reduced. This is an international version of the news that may have been edited for rights reasons.
